This Bolliger & Mabillard roller coaster opened April 18, 2014 as the the world's longest inverted coaster, at more than 4,124 feet of track length and a two-minute, 40-second ride cycle. The coaster features seven inversions and a top speed of 68 mph.
I am not a big fan of going upside down, but this is a smooth inverted coaster with little to no head banging. The theme of the queue and the station platform is well done, plus a nice tribute to Son of Beast. There are a lot of elements, plus the ride never seems to slow down drastically until the end. Rating: (9/10)
Banshee is just right in so many ways: long with no dull moments, good drop, good speed, good layout, good number of inversions, etc. and it has one of the fastest crews I've ever seen. If there is one complaint I have about the ride, it is that the ride has a bit of rattle, but it is not enough to significantly detract from the coaster. Lastly, while Banshee is great during the day, it is absolutely a top ten ride at night.
A really great ride on this B&M Inverted coaster. Very long over nice terrain. Very smooth
From the speedy lift hill to the final foot chopper, this coaster is so fast, and so smooth, and so upside down! Just a tremendous coaster filled with acceleration, force, and dizzying twists, turns, and inversions. One brilliantly executed element after another. And that oh-so-slow final corkscrew…wow! Banshee does not disappoint. In fact, it alone is worth a visit to the park. 9-Outstanding.
