Walt Disney World's California Grill, at the Contemporary Resort, next week will start offering a special fireworks viewing dinner event.
The restaurant, located atop the famous A-frame resort on the monorail route, long as been popular with fans who book dinner reservations in order to watch the Magic Kingdom's fireworks from the restaurant's unique vantage point. The new dining event isn't a full meal, but instead a grazing session including sushi, appetizers and small plates, along with beer, wine, cordials and coffee. Guests will view the fireworks on a private observation deck, then head back inside for petit four desserts.
The event will take place in the restaurant's private banquet rooms, so I am assuming that this will not affect the normal dinner operation, including dinner guests' ability to watch the fireworks from other restaurant observation decks. So think of this as yet another spin on a Disney fireworks dessert party. Price is $99 per person, plus tax and tip. Call 1-407-WDW-DINE for this or any other WDW restaurant reservations.
