Muppets at DCA?

May 25, 2017, 8:19 PM

I just realized that MuppetVision 3D at DCA has been closed for multiple years now. Will it ever return? Weren't there rumors that disney was trying to make a new Muppet show for DCA + DHS a couple years ago? Since the TV show was cancelled and there aren't any movies in development, is it fair to assume that its closed forever? Could disney try and make a new outdoor Muppet show like they did at MK?

While it was never made official, MuppetVision 3D at DCA closed permanently in November 2014. The theater has been remodeled and is now used as a movie preview/special event theater. As far as I know, there are no current plans to bring a new Muppet attraction to the Disneyland Resort.

No three hour extravaganza in a minute in a half!

Seems like the only way kids would care about the Muppets these days is by selling a fidget spinner with Gonzo on it.

Muppets are gone from DCA - permanently, it seems. That section of the park will be all about Marvel soon.

Because Marvel screams California.....

Marvel may not scream California, but Mr. Joe Themeparkgoer is screaming for more Marvel. Frankly, the average park guest cares much less about coherent theme than those of us who haunt these hallways.

@ James Trexen - In recent years, Kermit has been a part of numerous memes that have each gathered significant impact. The muppets are still culturally relevant, albeit in a much different medium than they used to.
