Hello Everyone!!
It is much too quiet around here now that the season is starting to run out.
So as we start the migration back to the inside life, I figured it was a good time to test everyone's theme park and amusement park knowledge.
To play this game you need to figure out the name of the theme park from the satellite picture. In order to keep the secret for everyone as long as possible, once you figure out the name of the theme park, your response will only be the first letter of the theme park. In cases where the name of the park closely matches many other parks (Example Six Flags New England, Six Flags Great America, Six Flags Over Texas) merely go to the first unique letter and code the letter with the number of the word you are giving the first letter for and then the letter. For Six Flags Over Texas, you would put 4T, for parks where the name is unique just the first letter will do for example Knott's Berry Farm would be just K and Walt Disney World's Epcot would be 4E. I should be able to decode your answers to know if you are right, while keeping the answers hidden. Therefore, I will not tell you which ones you got wrong, just how many were correct. Until we have a perfect score, that should suffice...and I don't think we are going to have any perfect scores.

Cool?
Any questions, Please let me know...privately or in this post.
.......and now......on with the questions.....
......and remember.....don't spoil it for others......
Because I was so good at Jeff's games last time, I'm going to hold off on guessing for the moment. I recognized 19/25 immediately and have a pretty good guess at 4 of the 6 others, so I'd like to see if anyone else can get 20+ before tomorrow evening.
The only one I can get is 10.
Dc
5. E
@Randy Yes!
@Chad No!
At this point I don't think we are spoiling anything from anyone.....so why don't we see if we can assemble the list in plain text.
Here are some hints:
- There are three that are extremely obscure: #1, #16, #19. Two of these were included because they are getting major rides this off season, and the other one was included because I'm a jerk and didn't want any perfect scores....but that one is also a park that I have been to at least 3 times this season with my 5-year-old son.
- About half of the parks are outside of the USA.
- I believe all of the major brands are included except Herschends which I realized too late that I had forgotten them.
I am terrible at this. Only confident I have 10,11, 13 and 21.
Jeff, thanks to your hint I'm pretty confident I've got 25/25. I'm not going to spoil it, but I'll give my answers as three random letters from the name. The digit before the decimal represents the word, and the digit after represents the letter within the word.
1. 1.1 S, 1.6 S, 2.6 H (needed the hint here)
2. 1.4 G, 2.3 N, 2.7 L
3. 2.2 I, 3.1 W, 5.3 I (difficult angle)
4. 2.3 R, 3.3 M, 3.4 P
5. 1.5 O, 1.8 D, 3.5 N
6. 1.9 T, 1.10 O, 4.7 U (this one was pretty tough)
7. 2.1 B, 3.4 I, 4.5 D
8. 1.1 S, 1.2 E, 2.5 D (non-US park)
9. 1.3 R, 1.4 L, 3.2 U
10. 1.2 I, 1.5 E, 2.8 N (easiest one on the list IMO)
11. 1.2 U, 1.4 O, 1.6 A
12. 1.5 Y, 2.2 A, 2.4 L (capital location)
13. 1.2 E, 2.5 D, 4.4 D
14. 2.1 Q, 3.4 H, 3.6 A
15. 1.2 A, 2.8 A, 2.9 N
16. 1.4 R, 1.10 D, 1.11 I (this one's pretty obscure)
17. 1.3 X, 2.5 S, 3.2 M (capital location)
18. 1.3 X, 2.4 G, 3.3 X
19. 1.4 E, 2.2 O, 2.5 D (only recognized because of the coaster)
20. 1.2 O, 1.5 O, 2.1 L
21. 1.8 A, 3.2 A, 3.4 A
22. 2.2 E, 2.3 U, 2.8 L (guess between two possible locations)
23. 1.4 I, 1.5 A, 1.7 A (only know because I've visited)
24. 1.1 E, 1.7 N, 1.8 G
25. 2.2 A, 2.4 O, 2.5 R
I used RCDB to check names, so let me know if any are a bit ambiguous due to different word counts. Hopefully this also helps others without giving too much away (though a couple may have just become very obvious).
I think you're right on 8. I can see it now (Although its changed a lot since I was there, some features stand out).
Edit: Kinda makes me a bit sad to see it without some old favourites there.
10. C
I think I got a perfect score!
That's right. Zero.
No, I DON'T get out much.
@AJ
I think we're going to call that a perfect score. My key didn't match up with what you wrote on 22, but based on your note, I'm pretty sure you knew what it was.
Congrats! And well played that the answers are still hidden.
@ Jay R.

OK - so there are Way too many here for me.... Might have been better off just having 5 to start with, then in game 2 add another 5 and so on...
Anyway, I like - Global Thermonuclear War for a game....
