I’m curious, what’s next at Universal Studios Hollywood? Will they expand on Harry Potter, or create different rides and/or lands?
DreamWorks Animation theater, replacing Shrek 4D, opens this year. Super Nintendo World coming in 202?. That's all in the new attraction pipieline for now. Wouldn't be surprised to see something replace the animal show in the meantime, though.
What is Dream Works Animation Theatre, and will it open by the summer? I’ll be there then. Also, we don’t know when Super Nintendo World will open?
Their 2018 project is DreamWorks Theater, which is a new multimedia show of some sort replacing Shrek 4D. Beyond that, a lot has yet to be confirmed, but I'd expect the Secret Life of Pets ride will probably be the next new ride (probably 2020, so they can see if the sequel does well before fully committing), with Nintendo Land and an expansion of Hogsmeade (quite possibly the same attraction being built in Florida) coming after that. A lot of the work right now involves reorganization of the entire property, so there's a lot of backstage work going on that doesn't directly affect the theme park. However, this will make way for future theme park expansion.
Hello,
My name is Jacob and as an Annual Passholder, I was given an advance screening of the animation studio store at Universal Studio Hollywood before its opening to the public next week. I have attached a video link to my in-depth review of the store as well as some other cool things. I also have, in my video, views of the Dreamworks Theater construction, the Starway construction, the Lunar New Year decorations, as well as some fun character moments. As this is the first Dreamworks attraction in any north-american theme park, this is a big deal, as it is likely to be the first of many
