What is being called an industrial accident claimed the life of a Walt Disney World cast member in a backstage area behind the Pop Century Resort this morning.
Walt Disney World has confirmed a Cast Member died in a “tragic accident” earlier today at Pop Century Resort (1153 Century Dr). According to @OrangeCoSheriff, this was an "industrial accident."

The cast member has been identified as Juan Alberto Ojeda, 33.
Contrary to some reports floating around online, the accident - whatever it was - in not related to construction in the area.

Unfortunately this will happen every so often simply because of the sheer number of employees... In simple terms - if you have 190,000 employees every once in a while, you will lose one...
Remember a few years ago Disney had that monorail accident and they lost a young driver...
