Walt Disney ranks with Mark Twain and Abraham Lincoln among the Americans from the past most-quoted on the Internet. But, as is the case with all three of these men, many of the quotes attributed to them are not things they actually said.
Here's what might be the most prominent example of a fake Walt Disney quote: "If you can dream it, you can do it."
Even though The Walt Disney Company is even attributing that quote to Walt now, it actually comes from Tom Fitzgerald's script for the old Horizons ride at Epcot.
I'd love to hear some of your other favorite fake Walt quotes. They can be actual quotes you've heard or seen misattributed to Walt, or quotes you made up that you think people would believe that Walt said.
