Gröna Worthy & Great: what’s your opinion on this IRL IKEA adventure?

I will be visiting Gröna Lund with my dad in a few days and would appreciate any suggestions, tips, or advice for our first time at this park. Jag talar berg-och-dalbana! Tusen tack! (I speak roller coaster! & A thousand thanks!)

until I read your post I had no idea that this place even existed so I’m excited to hear about it from you…

I think monster is the only ride I can remember off of the top of my head. A mid- tier B&M invert from what I've heard.

Here is one recommendation for an attraction at Gröna Lund: https://www.themeparkinsider.com/flume/202204/8883/

Thank you VelocicoasterFan & Robert Niles!

Unfortunately we ended up not going due to a combination of bad weather and time limitations.
The closest thing to an amusement park I went to in Sweden was Skansen which is an outdoor history museum & zoo (local wildlife & farm animals) with some small rides for children and the Bergbana (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skansens_bergbana) for everyone to ride in going up the “hill” (which I highly recommend taking the Bergbana or the escalator to save your legs because Skansen has many steep “hills”.)

The only other place I rode on something other than standard transportation methods was Skullaryd Älgpark (Moose) where we sat on tractor pulled covered tram wagons (think hay rides) https://www.skullaryd-algpark.se/en/home.html

Skansen is an excellent attraction - I would equate it to Colonial Williamsburg/Windsor Castle type experience just featuring multiple time periods portraying Swedish life. However, the absolute "must-do" attraction in Stockholm has to be The Vasa Museum, which features a fully restored @400-year old Viking ship with intricate and nearly perfectly restored wooden carvings.

Russel you are absolutely right! That was one of the best experiences I was able to enjoy! The massive scale of the ship and the intricacies of the craftsmanship were amazing! The tour guide we had was informative and funny! One of her jokes was “this guided tour will last almost as long as the Vasa stayed afloat.” I also highly recommend seeing the Vasa! Of all the places that we visited I made sure to get souvenirs from there!

The Viking Museum is nearby also but we opted to go to Birka instead (also highly recommended but make sure you have a loud tour guide!)
