Is Six Flags damaging the WB IPs by cheapening them?

Edited: August 10, 2025, 9:17 PM

Is Six Flags doing more harm than good with the WB IP like Looney Tunes and DC comics? Compared to Disney or Universal, the Looney Tunes have decreased in importance and relevance. Mickey has not had a short in a few years but he is still popular.

I don't know that Six Flags can do more damage to Looney Tunes than WBD management already has.

Yes...and yes! Oh how I wish DC and Looney Tunes' theme park rights were freed up to be licensed by any of the other major theme parks. See what they've done in WB World Abu Dhabi? Imagine what Universal could do with DC!

I'm glad Universal didn't get the rights to DC. The fact that they have Marvel rights left of the Mississippi is the only thing stopping Disney from turning Spaceship Earth into a painfully generic Iron Man ride or something like that.

I don't think SF owning the theme park licensing has any impact on the popularity of those IPs. As Robert points out, WB has done far more damage to these IPs with the way they've presented them. I mean an independent studio had to fight tooth and nail to get their Looney Tunes movie, The Day the Earth Blew Up, into theaters because WB/Discovery did everything in their power to put up road blocks after it was pulled from its original HBO/Max release.
