Six Flags' Phantom Spire?

Six Flags Entertainment Corporation has filed a trademark application for the phrase "Phantom Spire."

Looks like the name for a new ride. Where and what do you want to see from this one?

This seems to fit with the rumors surrounding the new coaster for SFGAdv. Guest surveys showed a launching coaster with a massive tower that the train would spiral around. The specs provided on the survey indicated the concept wouldn't break any major records, but would definitely be on the extreme side with a tower over 300 feet tall and likely top speed approaching 100 MPH. Considering that SFGAdv demolished Kingda Ka, a former height and speed record holder, it was generally understood that this tower coaster concept would be a suitable replacement (though many fans were hoping for a Mack Striker like Voltron or an Intamin multi-launch like Pantheon). Also, with the removal of Green Lantern, Parachutes, and Top Spin, there is plenty of room available to fit a coaster of this scale, while other parks don't have the space (or need) for a ride like this. Also, SFMM, a park known to be getting a new coaster soon, appears to be adding a Vekoma with identifiable track from the manufacturer on site, which doesn't match the track style shown in the tower coaster concept images.

FWIW, when we were at SFGAdv back in November, there were new footers in place where Kingda Ka's station and turnaround used to be, indicating that SF has already decided on this attraction and this trademark filing is almost certainly the last piece of the puzzle before they can formally announce this 2027 coaster. I do think it's interesting that looking at this name in isolation, it seems like they're going for an internal IP for this. However, given the likely proximity to Superman Ultimate Flight, this name could somehow integrate into the Superman IP with a Phantom Zone theme.

Cue up the bad alternate names for this ride:
Break up with your girlfriend on this ride - "Ex Spire"
Bunch of jailbirds on this ride - "Con Spire"
I'm sure there's more.

Yeah, this is almost certainly for SFGAdv's 2027 coaster. Strong rumors suggest a shuttle xtreme spinning coaster from Mack with a haunted lighthouse theme, which would be a fairly good fit for the Boardwalk section of the park. I just hope the project includes a redo of the area in addition to the coaster as otherwise it will look extremely out of place next to Superman. It's not the best name ever, but it's probably better than Tormenta Rampaging Run, Cyber Cycle, or the jokingly suggested Spinda Ka.

Regardless of the name and theming, there is no way I will be riding a 300+ft tall launched spinning coaster, that just sounds extremely unpleasant and nauseating.
