US urges citizens to evacuate Middle East

March 2, 2026, 6:12 PM

Multiple media reports say that the US State Department is urging its citizens to evacuate immediately from Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, United Arab Emirates and Yemen.

That would mean any US personnel at Six Flags Qiddiya as well as Abu Dhabi's Yas Island, where Disney is developing its next theme park and SeaWorld and Warner Bros. also have branded parks. Not to mention, of course, the countless other expat workers, students and tourists through the region, including in Israel.

I guess it's not looking good for me going to the inaugural IAAPA Middle East Expo in Abu Dhabi later this month, is it? IAAPA said earlier today that it expects to make an announcement early next week about the Expo, but today's development might accelerate that decision.

Best wishes and safe hopes for all our friends, colleagues and readers in the region.

Ah yes the new made up war by the GOP..

Trump recently said he Obliterated the Iran nuclear program.

So why this now war? Maybe they have the Weapons of mass destruction they are still looking for from then last two made up wars.

And who is paying for this new unfunded war?

As I sit here watching Oil spice up to $80 per barrel from $62 and watch the thousands upon thousands of dollars flow out of my 401K and IRA..

I guess you can't spell conservative with out the Con....

And I thought the GOP valued life, but now take many lives, collateral damage will take many innocent lives. Yes Iran is full of crap like all the Middle east countries.

PS - before you @me with your GOP defense BS remember I a Vet who has already been over there....And I have seen friends killed for fake wars. 13 in total.

Ah yes, another politics before facts post from Brian.

Presidents on both sides of the political aisle have been using military force as a tool of diplomacy for a long time. Somehow you’ve forgotten about Presidents Kennedy and Johnson in Vietnam, President Clinton in Kosovo, and President Obama in Libya, but they were all Democrats, so I guess you were okay with what they did.

I also see that you’re not happy with the temporary losses in your retirement accounts. Imagine what they would look like if a rogue nation created a high altitude EMP event with a simple nuclear weapon off either coast and crashed the power and communications grids of the United States. It’s estimated that the resulting chaos could cause a 10-year recession, disrupt the food supply and medicine supply chains, and cause the deaths of millions of Americans due to starvation, lack of essential medicines, and civil unrest. Iran was fast approaching the capability to create that scenario.

Think I’m wrong? That’s fine, because I worked for almost 2 decades in a very small sector of the DoD that studied nuclear effects on military and civilian systems, and I’ve read the reports, done the studies and tests, and assessed the systems at risk. I’m very uneasy with the situation, and I think that what President Trump is doing to Iran is long overdue. If the fanatical mullahs that control Iran were allowed to obtain nuclear weapons, they would at the least, dominate the entire Middle East and disrupt the world’s economy on a whim, and at the worst, create a regional nuclear war with Israel.

And finally, a point of agreement. You don’t want a “forever war” and neither do I. But I’d also be willing to bet that President Trump doesn’t want one either. So maybe, you and President Trump aren’t really that different in your beliefs. Play a round of golf with the guy and you two could be best buds. Just think.

AH, Yes we are now graced with the beloved genius from Florida who never served, never lost any friends for made up wars. Still looking for those weapons of mass destruction are ya?

We spent years and Trillions in Iraq and Afghanistan and have learned nothing. Iraq is still a mess and Afghanistan is ruled by the Taliban.

If I recall it was the Trump campaign of NO New wars, no wars in the Middle East. If Kamala gets elected she will start a war in Iran and it will start WWIII. I understand at your advanced age it is hard to remember facts and that is why I am here. Yes, all wars are bad.
Perhaps you should go down to the local recruiting office… And Join. If you are so for this new War.

Oil at $91 a barrel from $60 just a few days ago. It must now be patriotic to pay a lot for gas. Stocks are crashing also. Jobs disappearing.
And did you see the clown show in the Oval office where some dumb so called men of God all blessed Trump. Most thought it was AI.. Not a cult at all.
Matthew 7:15 warns, "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”

Well I guess this new War of Choice is a much needed distraction from the Epstein files. Or maybe we can give another $143 million contract out to an 8 day old company for Noem to inherit. Oops Use.

We are now spending One Billion dollars a day for Yet another Unfunded Unapproved war. And of course you have no clue about extra combat Pay, hazardous duty pay and all the extra benefits now added when these brave soldiers will get for being a War Vet.

I guess these are the Golden Ages of America Trump speaks of. I say tell it to the families of the slain soldiers or the 175 school girls murdered. That’s just the way it is.

Oh But Tim has seen “ahem’ Reports. Hahahahaahha
You think Iran has an EMP and can somehow hit the US - hahahahaah

The Middle East gave Trump gifts
Qatar - Luxury Boeing 747-8:
UAE-bought $500 Million of Trump's worthless Crypto meme coin
Now he is paying them back by attacking Iran for them. Don’t be a fool Timmy.

This is a highly unpopular war. I guess you enjoy a dumb dictator making horrible choices costing us billions daily and American Lives.

I find it ironic that the guy on this website who desperately wraps himself in authenticity by referencing his military service in literally every post he makes finds it difficult to give credit to anybody else when they cite knowledge gained from years of their work experience. And to try to shut down any rebuttal on a blatant political post by using the sacrifices of his fellow service members after whining about the losses in his retirement accounts, that’s just tawdry. I also find it sadly hilarious that a guy who once went off on me several years ago on this site for making a religious reference is now quoting Bible verses at me. That’s just rich.

So, Brian, if you want to act like a real-life Walter Sobchak, be my guest, and I’ll gladly continue to marginalize you with the comments about tinfoil hats and trying to communicate with space aliens. If you want to have meaningful discourse about events without personal attacks and assumptions about someone’s beliefs, that’s possible too. That choice is yours.

Part of me thinks I’m the idiot for thinking that you can do better, but I’d rather give you the benefit of the doubt than put you in the guy “living in a van down by the river” category.

Yes I served Six years and have seen the Atrocities we have deployed. We just murdered 175 school girls and you feel mothing?

I do apologize for serving Tim. I could have just sat on the Sidelines like you and every Trump family member.

Let me dumb it down for you a bit better at a local level.

A man named Tim was driving on a Florida Highway. He gets pulled over by a State trooper for going to slow. The policeman asked Tim for identification. He notices Tim is a Red card caring member of the GOP. The policeman says he is also a Huge Red card caring member. The policeman goes back to his car - pulls out a 30-06 Springfield (I will wait for you to google this).

The policeman approaches and blasts Tim’s wife's head clear off her body. Tim reflects, He Can’t question, argue or fight back against the policeman since they are both red card caring members and the aggressor can’t possibly be wrong… The policeman explains he thought Tim’s wife was about to start something on a hunch so he acted first.

This is exactly what Trump just did in Iran but at a local level. See how ridiculous this sounds.

You see Tim I question my own questions, question my own answers and answer my own questions. It’s highly technical.

We just lost another US Army person over the weekend maybe Trump can wear his white hat again.

PS - No one was hurt in this demonstration.
