Anyone reconsidering travel plans?
Have the recent events - and resulting increase in gas prices and airfares - gotten anyone to reconsider their vacation and travel plans for this year?
For me, well, that trip to Abu Dhabi for IAAPA is off now. (Not sarcastic there - I really had plans to go.) And I may need to move some budget numbers around and reconsider all the ride opening events that I had penciled to cover this year.
I'm interested to see what other are thinking right now as I think about coverage priorities for 2026. Thanks.

We are not changing travel plans at all, which currently includes a Caribbean cruise at the end of this month for spring break, a trip to Southern California for the USMNT WC opening game, a trip to Philly for July 4th, and our son's trip to Europe this summer (my wife and I will likely take a trip somewhere while he's away, but we haven't planned that yet). Obviously things could change between now and when those trips occur that could derail them, but as of right now, global events and prices have not impacted our plans.
Not changing a thing... We are continuing with all of our plans including Orlando in April, a midwest swing of Michigan Adventure, CP and Kings Island in June, and a MO/KS trip in August. We are still full speed ahead on a family trip to Italy in November, as well.
My travel plans are all in the second half of the year, so I won't really need to lock things down until later this spring. At this point in time, I am still intending to do a Florida trip this year, and while I might consider tweaking the duration or the itinerary if costs rise significantly for airfare in order to keep the overall trip in budget, I don't anticipate fully canceling it unless things trend significantly in the negative direction. My other planned trip to Indiana and Ohio is a bit more pliable if gas costs explode as it will involve renting a car and driving through a few states, but I won't be making a decision on that one until May. International travel isn't happening for me this year, but that was always a long shot.

Not reconsidering plans this year. I just got a new citizenship and passport and I intend to use it. My wife´s head is set on traveling this year as well, I couldnt change her mind if I tried.
