Fire at Epcot's Norway Pavilion

Edited: September 9, 2015, 2:07 PM

A fire broke out this afternoon in a construction area in Epcot's Norway pavilion, which Disney is converting into a Frozen-themed attraction. Firefighters from Reedy Creek extinguished the flames and there have been no reported injuries.

Local news station helicopters showed fire trucks on the scene in the backstage area behind the pavilion, but no visible flames or smoke.

"Frozen Ever After," the revamp of the former Maelstrom ride, is scheduled to open early next year.

I get the bad feeling this is a bad omen of sorts.

Superstition or overreacting?

You tell me...

Frozen fire? I know it's a hot property, but some families need to chill out. Personally, I've warmed up to the idea, but changing the purpose of EPCOT always left me cold.
