Matthew Gottula reports that Disneyland's Star Wars-themed Space Mountain overlay will debut later this fall:
Hyperspace Mountain will debut in November after Ghost Galaxy ends. Abrams is fighting w/ Disney over a planned "Force Awakens" 3D preview.

Hyperspace Mountain is one of the highlights of Disney's "Seasons of the Force" festivals celebrating Star Wars at Disneyland and at Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World, in advance of those park's opening their versions of Star Wars Land. Disney has not yet announced opening dates for anything, beyond saying that the Star Wars Launch Bay exhibits at both parks will open by the end of this year. Theme Park Insider readers collectively have guessed that Star Wars Land would open in 2020 at both parks.
The Tomorrowland Theater, next door to Space Mountain in Disneyland, has been the park's location for extended 3D previews of major Disney releases, including Tomorrowland and several Marvel films. It'd be the perfect location for a Star Wars preview, provided, of course, that Episode VII director J.J. Abrams does not try to block any extended previews in advance of the film's opening in December.
Abrams just wants Captain EO to come back.
