Legoland's new dark ride to be a shoot-'em-up

January 9, 2008, 12:33 PM · Brady MacDonald at the LA Times got his hands on some concept work for the upcoming Lost Kingdom Adventure dark ride, which will debut at the Carlsbad park this spring.

Looks like it's not just a dark ride; it's a shoot-'em-up, too:

Riders on the interactive Lost Kingdom of Adventure dark ride will travel on a jeep journey through ancient temple ruins and shoot at animated targets with laser blasters.

In the spider’s lair scene, an animatronic Pippin Reed struggles to escape a giant web. Riders shoot at the web with lasers to free the rebellious journalist adventurer (aren’t we all) and rack up points.
