Vote of the week: Favorite theme park mascot?
Thanks to Theme Park Insider first daughter Natalie Niles for this week's vote topic:
Looks like Universal gets to sit this one out, because we at TPI World Headquarters couldn't settle on what Universal's mascot would be. (The park promotes so many, but not one consistently above the others.) I thought about including the Lego people for Legoland, but decided that they really were too diverse to be considered a single mascot.
So... what do you say? I'm especially interested to hear how the Universal fans go on this one, since they don't have a "home team" in this fight.

Hey Tim how do you feel about Mickey Mouse?
It seems like no contest. Mickey is King
How much more popular can you get than Mickey? People spend their trips at the Disney Parks looking for the hidden Mickeys. HIDDEN MICKEYS! Which I am sad to say I have tried to do myself. Need I say more on how loved he is?
wat is that supposed to mean brian?
Your initial answer duped several times, Tim. I fixed.
I like them all, but, I'll fess up, I only hauled one of them around 24/7 for, like, four solid years when I was kid. So my vote went to Snoopy.
thanks niles. i saw it come up three times at first. snoopy is my second choice. i love peanuts
I know that everybody always associates Mickey Mouse with Disneyland. and Disneyland is clearly the best Theme Park in the world. But...
When I am watching cartoons on TV, I will choose a Bugs Bunny cartoon pretty much any time. I always thought they and other Warner Bros. cartoons were brilliant, and there is just something about Mickey Mouse cartoons that have always bored me a little.
Other than that, Ya. Of course, Mickey and Disneyland are the best.
This poll was no contest. Mickey was guaranteed to win in a landslide. And yes, I voted for the Mouse too.
Don't know about as a mascot, but as a star of animated shorts, Bugs Bunny blows Mickey Mouse out of the water! (That's what he said! That's what the man said! He said that!) The Disney cartoons looked great, the detail we love about their parks was present in spades; and a few real high points. But the Looney tunes were FUNNY; and not a small advantage in having Mel Blanc, either.
Thats Ture Marc. Mickeys Mickey....But Bugs now theres a rabbit! And everyone has at least one favorite cartoon for WB they like or love with him in it...Hats off to Bugs!
I am suprised that Shamu is not doing better. While everybody does go to FL to see the Mouse, people do go to see Shamu's show at Sea World.
If it's the Captain's Mess, let him clean it up.
Gotta say, though, the OLD Donald, Goofy, and Mickey shorts were as funny as the WB's, just in a different way.
I picked Mickey. However (in the interest of full disclosure) I have to admit my bias as I am married to her.
Mrs. THC portrays MM at WDW.
I had to vote for Shamu, but that's just because he and I were REALLY close friends for about 4 years.
