'Magic, Memories and You' digital projection show debuts at Disneyland
Tonight, Disneyland unveils its version of the "Magic, Memories and You" show that we first saw last week projected upon Cinderella's Castle at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom.
Sleeping Beauty's Castle at Disneyland doesn't provide much space upon which to project these high-def images, so this show will play upon the facade of It's a Small World. Here's a sneak peek from Disney:

How are they going to accommodate a huge crowd around "it's a small world"?
That's a large show area that was designed for the late "Light Magic" show and has been used as a stop for most of the parades and street shows since then. There's not only a large plaza, but a terraced viewing area facing the plaza, as well.
Looking at the castle show last week, I saw several effects that struck me as possibly fitting better with the Small World facade than the castle. Disney certainly has a wider "screen" to work with here, so I'm interested to see how this version compares with the one in Florida.
I have to admit I was a skeptic when Disney announced its Magic Memories campaign using PhotoPass pix, but this is a really nice and tasteful show. DL has the better platform with the widescreen Small World to play with, and the fireworks behind it is the coup de grace. Well done Disney!
I mentioned this on the youtube video, but I kinda wished Disney just kept it in Disney World...
Disneyland has the awesome Wonderful World of Color.
I love the projection bit but the song is overly cheesey.
This show looks really great,i can't wait 2 c it when i go 2 orlando on feb 12th =)
Both brilliant shows. Well done Disney. Disneyland's is not as impressive as WDW's but they did well to find somewhere to play it at all.
Whats next..? Projectors onto the Carsland mountain range? Yes please..
Judging from the videos, it's a small world actually does work better as a projection façade.
However, I agree with Carlo - beautiful images, cheesy music.

Should be another nice addition. The Blue Sky Cellar reopened today as well with all new pictures of DCA... time for another photo trip report, Robert!
