New Warner Bros. Studio Park Coming to Macau This Summer

January 13, 2015, 10:12 AM · More theme park entertainment is coming to the world's largest casino market, as Melco Crown Entertainment today announced the development of a Warner Bros.-themed 30,000-square-foot family entertainment center for its upcoming $3.2-billion Studio City Resort.

The Goddard Group has been providing creative work on the project, which will include a "Batman Dark Flight" motion simulator ride and a world's-first double Ferris wheel, which will be built into the facade of the resort's two hotel towers, at a height of 130 meters [427 feet]. The center also will include character meet and greets and other attractions based on Warner Bros. and DC Comics characters.

Maybe that's why HKDL is adding another hotel resort. Unlike Las Vegas, people don't do casino hopping. This is not due to policy, but because the resorts are so BIG that no resort hopping is needed to take it all in. Each resort is self contained and not walking distance from each other. When I stayed at the Macau Venetian, in comparison to the Las Vegas Venetian, the resort is twice as large and the shopping area is equally twice as large. However, as a tourist, I did visit the historical section for a one day excursion.

Perhaps if I'm in Hong Kong, I will take a side trip to Studio City for 3 nights.

I hope this is a recreation of the "Batman: The Ride" that used to sit at Warner Bros Movie World Australia
