Dole Whips and Citrus Swirls Swap Homes at Disney World

March 12, 2015, 6:42 AM · Visitors to Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom this morning discovered the Aloha Isle and Sunshine Tree Terrace have switched places in Adventureland.

Aloha Isle is the home of the Dole Whip, making it one of the more popular beverage stands in the Magic Kingdom. However, its location along a bit of pinch point near the entrance to Adventureland has proven inconvenient over the years, as the queue for Dole Whips often causes congestion along that pathway.

By moving to the larger Sunshine Tree Terrace location, tucked in a corner of the land, at the exit to the Tropical Serenade show, Aloha Isle should be able to serve more guests without disrupting the flow of traffic through the land.

Meanwhile, the Sunshine Tree Terrace and its popular-but-not-as-popular-as-Dole-Whips Citrus Swirls move into the old Aloha Isle location. Fans were a bit concerned that the STT's popular Orange Bird mascot was nowhere to be found this morning in the new location. Is the Orange Bird going away again? Or was it just being slow in making the move?
