We're pleased to announce the publication of Theme Park Insider's latest book — Theme Park Insider: 2016 Year in Review. A lot of publishers put out annual theme park guidebooks, just as we have in the past. But we're changing things up with a yearbook for theme parks — a look back at the top stories and attractions from the past 12 months, from the most popular theme parks around the world.
And because we believe in looking ahead, too, I've also included a chapter that previews the new attractions coming in 2017 and beyond.
In Theme Park Insider: 2016 Year in Review, we cover the opening of Shanghai Disneyland, Orlando's rough summer, the rise of date-specific ticket pricing, virtual reality on roller coasters, and other stories from the past year that promise to make lasting changes on the theme park industry.
I also review the "Class of 2016," naming the Top 10 attractions of the year, based on your reader ratings here on ThemeParkInsider.com. The book also includes the complete lists of "Must Do" attractions at the Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, and Disneyland resorts, again based on your reader ratings over the past 12 months. So even though this isn't a guidebook, with those ratings and the look ahead to 2017, Theme Park Insider: 2016 Year in Review still provides a valuable trip-planning resource as you think about where you will be visiting in the year to come.
Finally, because I believe in always helping you find value, the price is right — under 10 bucks for the paperback, which is available now exclusively from Amazon. I hope that you'll consider putting this on your holiday wish list and that you will order a few copies for the theme park fans in your life.
Oh, and one more thing. I really, really, really need your positive reviews for this on the Amazon listing page. The number and quality of reviews greatly affects how often Amazon recommends a book to potential customers, so please, always take a moment to give a positive review to all the books and authors you like. As someone who does this for a living, positive reviews are the greatest gift we can get. So thank you, in advance, for your support.
