Can't make it to the Candlelight Processional at Epcot this year? Or maybe you can, but can't decide whether it's worth the effort? Walt Disney World will livestream the popular Christmas pageant next week, on December 4.
The Candlelight Processional fills the stage nightly at Epcot's American Gardens Theater with choirs, herald trumpets, and a full orchestra, as a guest celebrity narrates the Christmas story from the Bible. The live-streamed performance will feature Candlelight regular and noted Disney fanatic Neil Patrick Harris as the narrator.
The shows run three times each night, but even with that, getting a good seat can be tough, so most fans end up booking one of Epcot's Candlelight dining packages to avoid a stand-by wait for a seat.
If you are interested in catching one of the other performances, this year's remaining celebrity narrators are:
Alfonso Ribeiro – November 26 to 27
Robby Benson – November 28 to 30
John Stamos – December 1 to 2
Neil Patrick Harris – December 3 to 6,
Whoopi Goldberg – December 7 to 9
Bart Millard – December 10 to 12
Blair Underwood – December 13 to 14
Gary Sinise – December 15 to 17
Pat Sajak – December 18 to 20
Auli'i Cravalho – December 21 to 23
Edward James Olmos – December 24 to 25
Jodi Benson – December 26 to 27
Cal Ripken Jr. – December 28 to 30
The shows run at 5pm, 6:45pm and 8:15pm. The livestream will be available on Tuesday, December 4 at 8:05 pm ET on the Disney Parks website.
FWIW, Disney's original Candlelight Processional, down Main Street USA and into Town Square at Disneyland, runs this weekend at the Anaheim park. Seating for that event is by invitation from the Walt Disney Company only, although standing-room viewing around the edges of Town Square for the Saturday and Sunday evening performances will be available to park guests on a first-come-and-you-get-it basis.Tweet
