Disney-Pixar's Toy Story 4 hits theaters this June, and the Disney theme parks are getting ready by announcing that Bo Peep will begin greeting guests in its theme parks worldwide this summer.
Bo Peep? The porcelain doll who barely made an impression in the first three Toy Story films? Is Disney really digging that deep for something fresh to offer theme park fans with this film?
Well, if you've been following the hype for TS4, you probably know that this ain't the same old Peep. She's dumped the crinoline for capris and a cape, and now wields her staff like a weapon instead of a crutch. This toy is ready for big action. Forget the "little" stuff.
Bo Peep will be greeting fans at Toy Story Land in Disney's Hollywood Studios and on Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure, as well as at Disney parks in Paris and Asia. Starting dates ate to be announced.
Given Disney's recent (and overdue) affinity for developing strong female leads in its movies, I can't wait for the inevitable crossover where Bo Peep, Captain Marvel, and Star Wars' Rey team up to claim every last dollar of global box office for The Walt Disney Company.
Oh, wait a minute, by the end of the year, they pretty much will have done that already.Tweet
