Star Wars fans: This is the cookbook you are looking for

August 5, 2019, 2:21 PM · Want to enjoy a taste of Disney's new Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge land, even when you're not in the park? Now Disney is offering a way to do that — literally — with the release of its official Galaxy's Edge cookbook.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook goes on sale November 5, but you can preorder the $35, 176-page hardcover volume now on Amazon [affiliate link].

"Inspired by the stories and cuisine found in Disney’s biggest single-themed land, the cookbook is written from the perspective of Strono “Cookie” Tuggs, former head chef at Maz Kanata’s castle on Takodana," Disney said in its press release. Tuggs now is the head chef at the Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo restaurant inside Galaxy's Edge, according to Disney's backstory for the land.

If you've not yet visited Galaxy's Edge and are looking for an overview of some of the food you will find in the land and, presumably, the cookbook, here is our look at that from the Disneyland media preview.

The book is by Chelsea Monroe-Cassel, who also has written official cookbooks for Game of Thrones and World of Warcraft. I thought I had a cool writing gig covering theme parks for you here, but "official fantasy IP cookbook author" clearly beats that. Big respect for that gig.

Robert, no use crying over spilled Blue Milk- unless it's the boozy east-coast kind;) Wookie mistakes come from not cooking with an Ewok

Semi-unrelated, but can any recent visitors to Oga's confirm whether DJ R-3X was fully functional? I went this past Saturday, and he appeared to be either broken down or turned off. The bartender told me he had been in that state for most of the day.
