Two new mazes and a show highlight the line-up for Knott's Scary Farm's 47th year this fall.
Knott's Berry Farm last night hosted its annual reveal show for the theme park industry's original Halloween event, unveiling the two mazes that will debut this year:
Origins: The Curse of Calico — "Unearth the sinister paranormal activity that plagues the town as Sarah Marshall is put on trial for her suspected crimes of witchcraft. All will be unveiled when the Green Witch rises up and curses the townsfolk, transforming all who have accused her into a wicked horde of malicious creatures with an eternal quench for the living," as Knott's described the maze.
Wax Works — "The once prominent plastic surgeon, Dr. Augustus Scratch, has been seen tinkering at night and is now ready to show off his beautiful yet terrifying life-like masterpieces of hot molten wax and bloody flesh. It’s rumored that blood-curdling screams can be heard echoing through the halls of Wax Works as victims are horrifyingly submerged into a scorching hot cauldron of bubbling wax."
The new show for 2019 will be Puppet Up! Uncensored. Created by Brian Henson and produced by The Jim Henson Company's Henson Alternative label, with direction by TV comedy veteran Patrick Bristow, the show has been a touring hit.
"In true uncensored form, the content is driven by audience suggestions and participation, topped with the zany antics and bawdy shenanigans of the colorful and brazen puppet cast," Knott's said in its press release. Here's a promo video from The Jim Henson Company:
As for other shows at the event, pop-culture slamfest The Hanging will return for its umpteeth year, while the comedy magic show Conjurers returns to the Birdcage Theatre.
Mazes Shadow Lands and Special Ops: Infected return for their final year at Knott's Scary Farm, with Dark Ride, Dark Entities, The Depths, Paranormal, Inc., and Pumpkin Eater completing the maze line-up.
The Halloween Hootenanny overlay of Timber Mountain Log Ride also returns this year, as does the Awaken the Dead dance party in Fiesta Village and the Carnevil, Forsaken Lake, The Hollow, and Ghost Town Streets scare zones.
Knott's Scary Farm kicks off September 19 and runs for 26 nights through November 2 this year. Buy Knott's Scary Farm Tickets: For discount tickets to Knott's Scary Farm and the Knott's Berry Farm theme park, visit our officially authorized Knott's Berry Farm tickets page.Tweet
