So I am going to Disneyland Resort for the Memorial Day weekend. Anything you want me to check out? I will be there for the Silly Symphony Swings opening according to the opening date.

Anything that should not be missed? Remember, I went to Disneyland Resort in 2005 and I go to Walt Disney World more times than I would like to admit! This will be my first time staying at the Grand Californian as well!

Got to see the newly redone river! See EO because it is back. Don't miss one of the last trips to Endor at Star Tours. I believe the Sleeping Beauty walk-through is new since you've been - very nicely redone. Check out Aladdin for a Broadway worthy show. Catch the Drawn to the Magic show, just outside the Hyperion Theater for a show that is also darn good.
Just a start...

Okay, first of all, be prepared to be blown away by the Grand Californian as it is I believe the nicest (or at least one of the nicest) hotels I have ever stayed at. As far as recent updates, was Space Mountain renovated when you were there, as when I was there around 2005 it was still being renovated. So, here is a concise list of what to check out:

-New Space Mountain
-Captain EO
-Nemo's Submarine Voyage
-Pixie Hollow (at night it is amazing to look at)
-Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln
-New Fantasmic and Firework Show
-Sleeping Beauty Castle Walk Through

And for California Adventure:

-Monster's Inc. ride
-Toy Story Midway Mania
-Silly Symphony Swings
-BlueSky Disney

Other than that, just try to look around at any of the construction going on. Also watch Matterhorn closely as the new cars have been rumored to have begun testing (these ones have individual seats for people)

Also, is your room facing DCA? You may get some great views of World of Color previews from your room, or if you can get to someplace on that side of the hotel that may be a good view.

the riviers of america was just redone! the mark twain is rumored to open later in may, so if its open you should ride it. if not at least check out what you can see from the shore, maybe visit tom sawyer. and stop by to see if the talking mickey is in his house while you're there. captain eo and space mt are must do, castle walk through is quaint if you have time.

Just make sure you re-visit the Pirates of the Caribbean, Anthony. The DLR version is so good it will make you weep.

Have a great time, and feel free to post your own "Dear Diary" entries for those of us not going with you.

BTW, you hooking up with Mr. Niles when you hit town?
