Wait times for Epcot

Walt Disney World: What are the longest lines in the park?

Continuing our project to track relative wait times at major theme parks, here is my draft of the wait times at Walt Disney World's Epcot:

Future World
Spaceship Earth - Longer in AM, Shorter in PM
Universe of Energy - Average
Mission: Space - Longer Green side: Shorter, Orange side: Average
Test Track - Longer
The Seas with Nemo and Friends - Shorter
Soarin' - Longer
Living with the Land - Average
The Circle of Life - Shorter
Journey into Imagination with Figment - Shorter
Captain EO - Shorter

World Showcase
Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros - Average
Maelstrom - Shorter Average
Reflections of China - Shorter
The American Adventure - Shorter
Impressions de France - Shorter
O Canada! - Shorter

Epcot seems simpler to me than other parks. There are basically three potentially long waits here - Test Track, Soarin' and Mission: Space on busy days. Everything else is average to shorter waits. (Shorter waits being "just wait for the next show to start and you'll get in.") My Epcot strategy is to (1) Get a FastPass for Test Track. (2) Go on Mission: Space. (3) Go on Test Track. (4) Get a FastPass for Soarin'. (5) Do whatever else you want, when you want, saving Spaceship Earth for the afternoon or evening.

Thoughts?

I think that Mission:Space may have a shorter wait on the green side? I don't think I have waited more than 15 minutes. I have not been in a few years and maybe things have changed after the bad publicity. It seemed to me that people were a bit leery to go on the green side.

I agree with Amy. Unless the park is having a very busy day, it seems like Mission:Space is practically a walk on compared to Test Track and Soarin'.

So if we split green and orange for Mission: Space, would Green be average and Orange longer, or Green shorter and Orange average?

Green Shorter, Orange Average. There isn't much of a wait at all for a thrill ride.

I would say that Living with the Land and Gran Fiesta were shorter rather than average. Maelstrom is more times than not average compared with the others.

I've seen Living with the Land lines stay average with the nearby Soarin'. Maybe you should consider a category of "short to no lines" for things like Journey into Imagination, Captain Eo, American Adventure, The Seas with Nemo and Friends. There are no waits for those, or shows that waits are caused by only by the wait for the show to start.

I would make Maelstrom average too. There can easily be an hour wait for that ride in the summer. Trust me, I've skipped it many times because of that.

Let's try this - what do you think is the average (okay, "median" for stats geeks like me - the one in the middle) wait-time attraction at Epcot?

Living with the land and Ellens energy adventure always short but Test track and Soarin regular line 40 minutes slow day 30 minutes and busy day 1hour or more

I would rate Soarin' the worst.

Not only is the wait time long, and the wait often longer than the posted wait time, but the Fastpass return line is very slow-moving as well! I think the loading-speed on the ride must be very poor.

Soarin is the longest...

I would keep Energy where it is because if you miss the time, you have to wait a bit longer.

I would say Living with the Land as shorter. Its a pretty quick line

I would say the median would be 40 minutes. Maybe less.
