Simpsons exterior is wrapping up at Universal Studios FloridaOn my trip to Universal Studios Florida this weekend, I was lucky enough to catch a glimpse "behind the fence" at the new Simpsons Ride.![]() ![]() ![]() From what I could see, it looks like they are just about done with the sidewalk out front, and the building looks ready, although I did hear a rumor about a giant Krusty the Clown Face going up on the building. ![]() The "Kwik-E-Mart" gift shop redesign was done well, and there were also several carts selling Simpsons Merchandise around the World Expo area. Now all we need is an opening date, and it'll be time to plan the return trip!

My son loves the simpson's and we are waiting to go to Universal Florida for this to open. Can't wait. I wish they would do more in California. Barney and the Simpson's would make my 2 kids very happy. From Brian Emery on February 19, 2008 at 10:31 AM
Thanks for the update. Anyone know when this might open? From Scott Marlow on February 19, 2008 at 10:36 AM
I heard rumors of March 15th, but that could be disproven by how much work it looks like they have left. Early April maybe? From Gareth H on February 19, 2008 at 12:57 PM
Universal emailed out an update today, but just to say that it was opening in Spring. It also mentioned they will send out updates on the opening date. Can't see if being more than a month before the soft openings start! From Molly R on February 19, 2008 at 2:03 PM
That seems so cool! I wonder what the ride will be like... I hope it isn't a bad ride. I don't wanna be dissapointed! This article has been archived and is no longer accepting comments. |
