Universal Studios Singapore welcomes its 25 millionth visitor

January 23, 2017, 10:46 PM · Universal Studios Singapore welcomed its 25 millionth visitor on Tuesday. The park, located in the Resorts World Sentosa development in Singapore, opened in 2010.

The park broadcast the welcoming moment today on its Facebook page.

Universal Studios Singapore was the fifth and latest Universal Studios theme park to open, though at just 49 acres, it is the smallest of the Universal parks. The original home of Universal's Transformers ride, USS also is home to what might be the best (and certainly darkest) version of The Mummy ride, as well as an impressive Shrek-themed Far, Far Away land, an entire land devoted to Madagascar, and the interlocking Battlestar Galactica coasters.

We visited Universal Studios Singapore for a sneak peek before its 2010 grand opening and then returned for the official debut of Transformers the next year.

Perhaps attendance figures don't justify such a large expansion - i don't know. But otherwise it's going stale here. I believe space to be a problem, but when you look at the sheer mass of space they have dedicated to the Shrek attraction (an entire land with 5 attractions!) and Madagascar surely they could work around the exisiting space.
