Universal Studios Singapore soft-opened March 18, 2010, as part of the US$4.5 billion Resorts World Sentosa development. The park opened "officially" on May 28, 2011.
Universal Studios Singapore features several DreamWorks Animation-themed attractions, including characters from the Shrek and Madagascar films, as well as a Battlestar Galactica-themed twin roller coaster.
On December 3, 2011, the park debuted its Transformers: The Ride, a next-generation 3D motion base ride developed by the same designer who created the award-winning Spider-Man and Harry Potter rides at Universal's Islands of Adventure in Florida.
If you go, be certain to buy your tickets online, as Universal Studios Singapore tickets are sold for a specific day, and might not be available at the gate when you visit if you haven't reserved in advance.
