Alton Towers have confirmed that a new "world first" rollercoaster will replace Corkscrew in 2010. Code named SW6 (secret weapon 6), the coaster, believed to be built by Intamin AG, will be themed around a haunted wood, much like Hex. Groundwork has begun and new advertising sign have been put up around the site. Please be aware that the skyride will be unavailable for the 2009 season due to a fire destroying the Cloud Cuckoo land station.
