Carowinds completes track on its Intimidator
Carowinds announced today that it has completed the track for its Intimidator roller coaster, the Dale Earnhardt-themed Bolliger & Mabillard Hyper that it will debut in Spring 2010.

Sister park Kings Dominion is building an Earnhardt-themed coaster for 2010, as well. Its Intimidator 305, an Intamin Giga, topped out earlier this month. Track construction continues there.

Taking bets now on the day some park names a coaster "Angel's Wings."
Double odds if the same park twins it with a coaster named "Devil's Tail."
This is an incredible looking work of art when you are sitting along the boulevard of the Carolinas. Can not wait to get on board.
Man the year I move away is the year Carowinds gets a big name coaster (other than Afterburn).

But yes driving by it is really something to see. Coming south on I-77 and it jumps out at you in the skyline. I'm definitely coming home in the summer to give it a ride!
