I am in Orlando this week for the press event covering the grand opening of the new Fast & Furious - Supercharged ride at Universal Studios Florida. (That ceremony happens tomorrow night.) To warm up for the big event, Universal Orlando took the opportunity to throw a grand opening ceremony for the press for its Voodoo Doughnut location, which opened to the public earlier this spring. (Remember, theme park locations almost never have just one opening!)
Here's the opening moment, featuring "The Baron" from the Voodoo Doughnut box, IRL.
For a sample of what's available at the Orlando CityWalk location — which like the Voodoo Doughnut at Universal Studios Hollywood's CityWalk, is significantly less risque than the lineup at the Portland, Oregon original — check out the carousel of doughnuts.

Also like in Hollywood, the prices for these doughnuts are quite reasonable, by theme park standards. Heck, you'd pay three times as much for the tricked-up doughnuts on Disneyland's Main Street.

"The Baron" sure has a familiar vibe from "The Shadowman" from Princess and the Frog. :)
How is it that American tolerate such blatant mockery of other people's religion? How about a Christ Donut?

Oh brother. As a Portland area resident I say over-rated. But as a business they are doing something right apparently.
