Hersheypark to Open with Candymonium on July 3

June 12, 2020, 3:44 PM · Another top U.S. theme park has announced its reopening date - and not only will the park return, it's debuting its planned new-for-2020 attraction on that date, too.

Pennsylvania's Hersheypark will reopen for season passholders on July 1 and 2, then for the public on July 3. The park also will open its new Bolliger & Mabillard coaster, Candymonium, which will be the park's longest, tallest, and fastest roller coaster.

"On behalf of the entire team at Hersheypark, we can’t wait to kick off our 114th season with familiar favorites and exciting additions like Candymonium," Hersheypark General Manager Vikki Hultquist said. "As we prepare to welcome guests back to our clean and green destination for family fun, we want them to know that their health and safety has been and always will be our top priority at Hersheypark."

The park will require advance reservations for all ticket and pass holders, as well as temperature checks and face coverings for all guests over age two (expect when eating or on certain attractions). Find out more about the park's new health and safety procedures in this video:

Candymonium anchors the park's 2020 expansion project, which also includes the new Hershey's Chocolatetown entrance plaza. For opening dates for more theme parks around the United States, please see our continuously-updated post, When Will Your Favorite Theme Parks Reopen?
