A four-time winner for Best Attraction in the Theme Park Insider Awards, Spidey takes you on an adventure with the web-slinger as he tries to save the city. You ride in a bucking, spinning SCOOP Vehicle -- while wearing 3-D glasses -- through 11 scenes, escaping fireballs, 100-story drops and other mayhem.

In May 2011, attraction designer Thierry Coup announced that Spider-Man will be entirely reanimated for a March 2012 debut, with a 4K high definition film using Infitec 3D projection technology. Coup also announced that the new film will include additional detail, not seen before in the ride.

This is easily the best ride ever. DON'T MISS FOR ANYTHING. Can't wait to see after referbeshments - Andrew Dougherty

There has never been a more innovative ride, besides Star Tours, than Spiderman. From the themeing of the Bugle to your Scoop vehicle, nothing (except Star Tours) can beat Spiderman! 11/10 - Eric Cartman

well as the sign says it this is a amazing adventure even though the que and story line is cheap it brings out the old spider man that you see in the comics cant wait for hd and refurb - Manny Rodriguez

Lots of fun, but it seemed dated to me. The technology was a bit tired in 2011. I can totally see, though, how it was groundbreaking and unbeatable in its early years. I hear it's due for upgrade next year, so I bet it will shine once again... - KJ Simpson

Really cool ride i makes feel like you are in the movie lovet - Giovanny Cruz

Spider-Man is one of the best theme park attractions around. The Theming is top notch, and the ride is super chaotic fun. That said, the ride has lost some of its intensity over the years (some of the cars are still pretty intense, others have lost their intensity) and the screens are beginning to show their age. Luckily, the ride is scheduled to go down for a lengthy rehab starting January 2012 in which the screens will be polished, new HD projectors (with brand new animation)will be installed, and previous sets will be re-themed and polished up as well. In short, the ride will be back to it's full glory by the time it re-opens. LONG LIVE SPIDERMAN!!! . 10/10 - Dan Huffman

Although Harry Potter has overtaken this slightly, this ride is still absolutely brilliant! Think it may have been the first of its kind, and for that reason it is still the 2nd best ride at Universal Resort. Totally unique and one of the most re-rideable attractions in Orlando - James McGee

The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man is simply amazing. Coming from a big Spider-Man fan, my hopes were high for this one. This ride is often called one of the most innovative rides ever, and it truly is. It's 3D special effects make you feel as if you're involved in the action. This ride features a brilliant motion simulator which makes you feel even more involved in the action. When the ride is not a motion simulator, you get to ride through various sets that attempt to re-create famous landmarks in New York, such as the Statue of Liberty. It also uses other special effects such as fire and water. Also, fans of the Web-Slinger will be pleased with the appearance of some of Spider-Man's most famous villains, such as Electro, Doc Ock, the Hob Goblin, Hydro-Man, and more. For the first time, you can now feel like Spider-Man, all thanks to The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man at Universal's Islands of Adventure. - Raul Hernandez

Simply, the best attraction ever! I haven't ridden Harry Potter, yet. - Russell Fox

Hard to call between this and Harry Potter for the BEST RIDE IN THE WORLD. To be honest, I think Spider-man shades it with its intense 3D effects. Can't wait for the revamp, but not sure it needs it. I always find the queue time goes really quick, you always seem to be moving and the theming is out of this world. 10/10 - Ben Price

Great ride but is deep need of that HD 3D projectors! Fun for the whole family. I'm also glad this isn't one of those crappy laser shooter rides! 9/10 - D H

This has to be my favorite ride at IOA as it makes you feel like you are actually there no little detail is overlooked and the 3d integration makes it absolute perfection. DO NOT MISS THIS RIDE - Jack Ainslie
