Universal's Islands of AdventureOrlando, FloridaLast edited by Robert Niles History: Islands of Adventure opened in 1999, Universal Orlando's second theme park and the company's first not built around a movie studio theme. In spring 2010, a new Harry Potter-themed Island, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, will open, incorporating elements from The Lost Continent. It will feature rethemed Dueling Dragons roller coasters (Dragons Challenge), a rethemed Flying Unicorn coaster (Flight of the Hippogriff), and a new ride using Kuka robot arm technology (Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey), as well as many Harry Potter themed shops and restaurants. Hours: http://www.universalorlando.com. Universal Orlando is open 365 days a year. Tickets: Buy online. Always try to buy your tickets in advance, to save time when you get to the park. Strategy: Try our Four Hour Tour Plan for Islands of Adventure.
