Location: Universal's Islands of Adventure is part of the Universal Orlando Resort, located near the intersection of I-4 and Florida's Turnpike, in Orlando, Florida. You can get driving directions by clicking the Universal Orlando link on Theme Park Insider's Google map of U.S. theme parks.

History: Islands of Adventure opened in 1999, Universal Orlando's second theme park and the company's first not built around a movie studio theme.

In spring 2010, a new Harry Potter-themed Island, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, will open, incorporating elements from The Lost Continent. It will feature rethemed Dueling Dragons roller coasters (Dragons Challenge), a rethemed Flying Unicorn coaster (Flight of the Hippogriff), and a new ride using Kuka robot arm technology (Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey), as well as many Harry Potter themed shops and a restaurant.

Hours: http://www.universalorlando.com. Universal Orlando is open 365 days a year.

Tickets: Buy online. Always try to buy your tickets in advance, to save time when you get to the park.

Strategy: Try our Four Hour Tour Plan for Islands of Adventure. Keep in mind that if the WWOHP is open when you visit, you will need to hit that area of the park early to avoid huge crowds.

[109 + / 18 -] Yes, If at Universal's Islands of Adventure dining at Mythos Resturant is a MUST. The food is awesome and the resturant decor is great!!!
