Readers' rating:
In my opinion, this is an often overlooked gem at Disney California Adventure. In fact, when the park first opened to lackluster reviews, the Animation Building was kind of a diamond in the rough for me. No rides or thrills and I certainly wouldn't rate it as a "must see" attraction, but not a waste of time either. The building is divided up into several section, each containing a different activity. You can learn to draw a Disney character, take a personality test in Beast's Library to see which Disney Character you most like, do a voice over recording of some Disney classic scenes with Ursula, watch Crush from Finding Nemo interact with the audience or take a glimpse at stop motion animation. The lobby area is a great place to relax and is visually appealing with a multitude of screens and projections showing how Disney films are developed. Again, not a must see...but probably a "should see". - Jeff Haslam this is a nice relaxing place. My favorite is when i get to see which Disney character i am. - daniel reyes A nice attraction as the intermission of an intense day. Disney Animation allows you to stay cool, and spend some time to walk through behind the scenes of many Disney's movie magic. Catch a showing of the Animation Studios to take a drawing class, and trust me, you will never knew you were so good at drawing Disney characters. You also get to meet Crush! Bring your little ones and seat them in front so they can be greeted by Crush himself in turtle talk. It's witty, funny, and flowing with fun...dude. - Jeremy Hu My favorite spot in DLR to relax and just take in the sights and sounds of my favorite Disney Animated films. - Brandon Mendoza A giant room full of songs, sketches, pictures and clips from Disney movies, that serves as the gateway for four Disney shows/attractions. Very cool, and a definite must do! - Tommy N This is really more than one attraction! - Mostly Anonymous A great place to go especially during hot days. The best part is Turtle Talk. Could be very funny depending on the castmember voicing Crash on the show - Erik Avila More attraction and restaurant ratings: |
