This dark ride will use "Buzz Lightyear"-style interactive technology to allow riders to play games as they ride, making each trip through the Toy Story-themed attraction unique.

TPI editor Robert Niles interviewed Disney Imagineer Chrissie Allen about Toy Story Midway Mania: http://www.themeparkinsider.com/flume/200805/756/.

VERY FUN!! HIGHLY reccomend this ride! you've done it again disney! why arnt theme parks more like disney parks?!?! cuz disney is AWESOME!! - N O

This attraction is incredibly fun. The air and water effects really bring you into it and the ride itself is incredibly smooth. The competition with you're partner is just the icing on the cake. - Jeff Moon

I went on this thing the day it opened after waiting for 3 hours, then waiting another hour for the broken down ride to start back up, then another hour (five in total). Totally worth it. A great addition to Paradise Pier. - Tommy Nelson

Believe me, if there was something above 10, I would've voted that. this ride is amazing! - Reggie Templeton

I enjoyed this attraction. I think it's weird this ride gets two hour waits and it does not have the Fastpass. I also like that Mr. Potato Head is out in front. - nick .

Fun ride; awful queue (especially compared to DHS) - Marc Ricketts

This is a great start to the California Adventure renovations! It would be fun without the games even. The cars move so smoothly and quickly! But the games are amazing all the same. - Jay Finch

I have to admit, I did not think this ride was going to be all that great at first. I was never a big 3D fan, but this ride would be a great time even without the 3D effects. The games are really enjoyable and a little competition is always a good time. This ride is a great addition to help improve California Adventure. - Andy B

Very fun and enjoyable. Great for guest of all ages. Characters from all three movies are part of the attraction. Love competing with friends and family(to see who gets a higher score). Be ready to wait an average time of 45 minutes. The Mr. Potato Head in the line is really cool but it would be better in the middle of the line than the entrance of the line. - Erik Avila

Disney once again creates an amazing submersive ride. This one is fun for all ages and skill levels!! - Thomas Furlong

This is the ultimate competitive game, and its a ride! Very fun and never the same twice, plus there are secrets to find in each of the games. Lines are long and there is no fastpass so prepare to wait. - Brett Munyon

I love this ride so much that I bought the video game for the Nintendo Wii. This is a great interactive ride for kids of all ages. If you are a fan of Toy Story, this is the ride for you. You are in the middle of a shooting gallery with Toy Story characters. The flourescent neon lighting opens your eyes to vibrant playful shooting while riding through a maze of targets. Great fun for all. Thumbs up, way up! - D.S. Francisco

Great ride. This is the best of the shooting gallery dark rides that I have been on. Its more fun that both Buzz Lightyear and Universal's MIB. - Will Chilcote

Toy Story Midway Mania is a fun and addictive ride! You'll want to spend hours trying to beat the high scores on the attraction. Everyone in my family rates this as the best attraction at Disney's California Adventure. Beware, however! The ride is very popular and wait times are usually 45-60 minutes long and unfortunately it does not have FASTPASS. Come early, or there is a Singles ride for those of you who don't mind riding by themselves. But seriously though, the ride is fantastic! - John Quinteros

10/10 a great innovation on the part of Disney! - Steven Lee

AMAZING! The one in HS is the exact same (except the line). Better than Buzz Lightyear, but that one's okay, too. Worth the wait. - M.S. Cool

A great addition to the park. Toy Story Mania appeals to a lot of people and the ride itself is fun. The attraction has people playing carnival games in 3-D featuring characters from the Toy Story movies. The 3-D images look clear and crisp and the other in ride effects, like the popping balloons, enhance the ride. The exterior of the ride looks really nice and makes Paradise Pier look nicer. The queue area really doesn't have any theme, unlike the DHS version in florida, but Mr. Potato Head is interesting to look at. Overall this is a fun ride that is far superior than Buzz lightyear, and it makes riders want to go on again. Since this is a new ride waits can get long. This ride doesn't feature fastpass so the line is continously moving. Try this out early in the morning or go in the single riders line to avoid the long wait. - Manny Barron
