Star ToursSimulator rideMinimum height to ride: 40 inches DescriptionSimply the best attraction anywhere when in debuted at Disneyland in the late '80s, this one's showing its age. A much-rumored new film, featuring the pod racers from "Phantom Menace," would inject some much-needed life. PhotosSafety
Readers' Opinions
Needs big-time updating. Right now, it's worth a ride if line's not too long. - Gil Long A decent simulator, not too rough. - Kelly Smith Star Tours takes you on a standard simulator ride through a galaxy far, far away, and into a battle with the Dark side. Star Tours receives an Average review. Considering the film had such an impact with special effects wizardry, this ride is a minor disappointment. It's still worth checking out, if the line isn't too long, but don't expect Lucas to blow you away. After all, this attraction did open a long, long time ago. On early mornings, the line to take a picture with the AT-AT is longer than the line for the ride. - Joshua Counsil A decent ride but could really use an update. - David Kirby It was a nice simulator; however, it could use some updating. Compared to the Star Trek Experience in Las Vegas, this isn't quite as advanced or exciting ... however, it has a nice storyline with the little robot. - Mickey Fan Still a high quality motion simulator and clever little movie. A must for sci-fi/Star Wars fans. Now we need to know if Star Tours 2 will be coming to Orlando... - Sylvain Comeau Less special than when I first rode it, but still worth a few looks. It is the best thrill ride besides TOT and RRC. I give it a thumbs up. - Wilfredo Alvelo A good simualator. Needs updating though. Worth a visit. - jack roberts I loved this ride it had a good plot and I particularly liked it because I am such a fan of Star Wars. Loved the robot. - Sarah Larkin It's an enjoyable simulator. - Nick Dakuginow |
