New name: The former Disney-MGM Studios Theme Park became Disney's Hollywood Studios in January 2008.

Location: Disney's Hollywood Studios is part of the Walt Disney World Resort, located just off I-4, south of Orlando. You can get driving directions by clicking the Disney-MGM Studios link on Theme Park Insider's Google map of U.S. theme parks.

History: Disney-MGM Studios opened in May 1989, as Disney's preemptive response to Universal Studios Florida, which opened in Orlando the next year.

Hours: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com. Walt Disney World is open 365 days a year.

Tickets: Order online. Always try to buy your tickets in advance, to save time when you get to the park.

Reservations: Your admission ticket allow you to get one, free FastPass ride reservation ticket at a time. If your reservation time is more than two hours in advance, you may make get a second FastPass after two hours. FastPass is available on selected popular rides. You might not need to use FastPasses on less crowded days, but expect long stand-by lines if you choose to go on a FastPass ride at mid-day without a FastPass ticket.

You must make your dining reservations in advance if you want to avoid long waits at table service restaurants. Call 407-WDW-DINE up to 180 days in advance of your trip.

Strategy: Head down Sunset Boulevard to ride Rock 'n' Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror. Then hit other rides at your convenience before wrapping up the day with Fantasmic! that night. (This is a good park to wrap around a mid-day water park visit.)
