Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover reviews
Theme Park Insider readers offer their ratings and reviews for Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, a track ride in Tomorrowland at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom.
Written by Robert Niles
Originally called the WEDway PeopleMover, this prototype of a linear induction-powered mass-transit system carries riders on a leisurely tour around the rooftops of Tomorrowland. (Walt Disney's middle name was Elias, so W.E.D. were his initials.) Walt Disney envisioned the PeopleMover as a public transit system for the city of the future that he wanted to build in Disney World, on the site of what became the Epcot theme park years after his death. Keep your eyes open while you ride to see a fragment of the original model for that city.
Actually love it !! Very relaxing and entertaining - Owen Scott
Ah, relaxation, while moving. We took our niece on this while her parents and my daughter and fiance rode Space Mountain. We called it the train in the sky, and she really liked it. It was nice to be off our feet, too! Also, the line moves really fast! - Michelle Morgan
WHY DO PEOPLE THINK THIS IS BAD? WHY?!?! 9.5/10 - Jaiden Cohen
Another blast from Disneyland's past. A nice relaxing ride around Tomorrowland. Nice to sit for an extended period. - Jeff Krinock
I love this ride! Easy-going, long, and there is NEVER a line. Such a simple premise, and it takes you back to the 60's view of the future. If you ever need a break from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the park, this is the place to take it. 8/10. - Nick McKaig
Just LOVE this ride. - O T
Great way to relax, get some air, people watch, and see some of the rides. Why don't all parks have this? Much better than at WDL too! This may be super lame.. But it is one of my favorite things to do at the park. For a people mover, it's an easy (10/10) - Lexi R
I enjoyed this way more than the Stitch one. We liked the sit down and being able to see Tomorrowland. I would recommend this being one that newcomers ride before taking off through Tomorrowland. You get a view of the whole area and what it has to offer. - Meg T.
A nice way to escape from the crowds and relax. 7/10 - Christopher Sturniolo
This is some kind of a scenic tour through all of Tomorrowland. Do this first if you have never been there before. You won't waste your time, for you won't have a line in most cases. It shows you everything you can do with accompanying narration. Furthermore you get a look inside some of the attractions. Plus, it's quite fast though it does not appear to be. Prepare for some slight accelerations throughout your tour. - Chris W.
Outstanding attraction. Doesn't look like it would be fun, but surprizingly, it is. - Rob Pastor
